Blue apples fall

The title is just paraphrasing one of the sentences in the last cd by Lapko, one of my favourites this year and that I am currently listening to.
This picture is taken today at about 2:15 in Joensuu, Finland. Calmness and quietness. Almost a dead place... And I got my fresh air.


El titulo parafrasea a una de lass frases del ultimo cd de Lapko, el cual estoy escuchando ahora mismo, y uno de mis favoritos.
Esta foto fue hecha ayer a las 2:15 aproximadamente en Joensuu, Finlandia. Calma y silencio. Casi un lugar muerto. Y respiré mi aire fresco.

I need to get out

I just need to get out and breathe some fresh air for a moment. It´s late, but I am going out with my camera to see what can I do now that I am inspired (I hope).
I miss so much people today and I feel I have to burn this sorrow away,.
Later (or tomorrow) I will post the resluts, if there is any.

Everything is still the very same as it always has been.

Necesito salir y respirar aire fresco por un rato. Es tarde, pero me voy con mi camara a ver que puedo hacer ahora que estoy inspirado (espero).
Echo de menos a tanta gente hoy y siento que tengo que quemar esta tristeza.

Una Pesadilla // A nightmare

Sé que el fútbol no es algo demasiado importante en nuestras vidas, al menos debería ser algo tan sólo secundario, un hobby. Para mí lo es, pero lo de hoy ha sido demasiado deprimente, y, justo tras acabar el partido Atlético de Madrid- F.C. Barcelona he decidido escribir estas líneas para quemar mi frustración. El resultado ha sido 0-6. No recuerdo nadie que haya ganado 0-6 en el estadio Vicente Calderón. Nadie había ganado 0-6 en el Calderón. Si, para aquellos que querían que perdiera su propio equipo, el Atlético, para perjudicar al Real Madrid, esta derrota es para vosotros, no merecéis ser de este equipo. Disfrutadla. En fin, es sólo fútbol. Buenas noches desde Finlandia.

P.D.: Lo que más me jode es oir al ........ de Laporta jactándose de lo bien que ha jugado su equipo. En fin. El tiempo le pondrá en su sitio a él y a su equipo.

I know that football is not anything too important in our lives, at least it should be something only secondary, a hobby. For me it is, but today it has been too depressing, and, just after the end of the game Atlético de Madrid- F.C. Barcelona, I have decided to write down these lines to burn my frustration out. The result has been 0-6. I do not remember any team that has beaten Atlético 0-6 in our stadium. Nobody has won 0-6 in the Calderón. Yes, for those who wanted that Atlético loose today, just to harm Real Madrid, this defeat is for all of you, you do not deserve to be part of the fans of the team. Enjoy it. Well, in the end, it is only football. Good night from Finland.

Helatorstai (La Ascensión)

Hoy, pese a levantarme cansado, con sueño y con algo de resaca debido a la celebración cumpleañera de ayer, ha sido un día para recordar. He sido invitado a una kesämökki, una casita de verano finlandesa. Carne de reno, cervezas (pocas), café, sauna, hoguera, salchichas y lagos donde perder la mirada para siempre. Esto si que es 100% Finlandia. Disfrutadlas desde la distancia. Merece la pena. Algún día os llevaré a un sitio así. A todos.

Koli

Este lugar está considerada como la postal típica de Finlandia, la vista de Koli, el punto mas alto del sur de Finlandia, no supera los 400 metros, pero no le hace falta mas para ser un sitio de visita obligada si estás cerca. Impresionante. Aún no puedo colgar fotos mejores, porque olvide el software de la cámara, pero mietras tanto tengo ésta que podeis ver mas abajo. Había oido cosas de este sitio, pero hasta que no lo ves no sabes que puedes esperar. Aqui está, señoras y señores: Koli, (con un ser humano estorbando la vista).


This place is considered to be the typical postcard of Finland, Koli's sight, the highest point of the southern Finland, it does not overcome 400 meters, but it does not need more to be a place of obliged visit if you are nearby. Impressive. I cannot upload better photos yet, because I forgot the software of the camera, but, meanwhile, I have this one you can see at the top of this text. I had heard opinions about this place, but until you do not see it, you do not know what can you expect. Here it is, ladies and gentlemen: Koli, (with a human being hindering the sight).

And finally, the destination is...... Joensuu

Por fin, he sido elegido para cursar estudios de doctorado, para continuar con mi carrera científica. Mi destino final es la Universidad de Joensuu, en Finlandia, para que veais donde está, la he señalado en el mapa con un rectángulo. La verdad es que está lejos comparado con donde estuve anteriormente, en Vantaa, cerca de Helsinki. Es un proyecto muy bueno, con unas condiciones también muy buenas y espero que además todo lo exterior al "trabajo" sea excelente. Ha sido todo muy rápido y me marcho el 10 de abril, habiendo recibido la noticia el 8 de marzo. No hay tiempo para apenas nada. Así que por fin lo he conseguido. Espero que me vaya todo bien.

Finally, I have been chosen to enrol doctorate studies, to continue with my scientific career. My final destination is the University of Joensuu, in Finland, I have signallled it on the map with a rectangle for a better understanding of where it is. The truth is that it is quite far away from where I lived previously in my first stay in Finland, in Vantaa, near Helsinki. It is a very good project, with also good conditions, and I hope everything out of the"job" will be excellent. Everything has happened very fast and I leave the 10th of April, receiving the e-mails with the news on march, 8th. There is barely time for anything. Finally I have done it. I hope everything will be fine for me.
